Am I the first to make a post in this Forum? Cool! ;D So, how many of you have seen the last episode of the trilogy? My son and I saw it on the Sunday after it came out. I was totaly blown away by the way the movie ended. For once, a long trilogy end's the way the fan's wanted, at least in my opinion. My favorite part was when Lady Eowyn cut off the head of the Witch King's rider and then killed him I grew up reading those books. I have to give this movie and the entire trilogy two thumbs up!

Thanks for starting a thread in the newly established LOTR section that Cain suggested ;D I must admit, I'm a fan, but not as versed in the Trilogies as many are.... I just thought I'd leave the sections open for LOTR lovers to put whatever their hearts desired here.....Have loads of fun! Post to your hearts content P.S. I've seen the first two (once each) but haven't had the pleasure of seeing the third installment yet....

If you like the second one, you should go out and buy the extended DVD version. It has about 53 minutes of extra footage added to the movie. Some of the footage actually explains things that I was un aware of

Yeah, me and my honey went to see it yesterday (Tues. 13th)
I thought it was excellent and they kept the story line pretty true to the books. I grew up with them too, but had forgotten aobut them until the first movie came out. My honey has all the books of Lord of the Rings too. I love them.
I cried so hard when we thought that Eowyn was dead and then she was there at Aragon's Coronation. Then I cried again when Frodo was saying goodbye to the other Hobbits. Then it was cute to see Sam with his wife and two kids. Awe.
The battle scenes were hard to follow sometimes, but real good. Then I found myself feeling sorry for the beasts that looked pretty much like huge elephants. I didn't catch what they were called. I can't wait to get the Trilogy in DVD.
What was the guys name that was fishing with his friend and then his friend found the ring and the guy killed him and took the ring? What happened after that? How did Bilbo get it? I forgot that part, would you mind reminding me?

HAHA Andi.
The Beast were called Oliphonts And the two in the beginning were Deagol and Smeagol they two friends then smeagol killed deagol for the ring then went into hinding and then The ring "Escaped" form Gollom/Smeagol (same person) and found bilbo.
I cryed when Frodo was saying good bye too. Sam and Rosie were very cute.
I love Legolas in the end with his little crow thingy on. He is so cute
