As a mortal, the Siren fell in love with a married man. When their affair was discovered, the man suffered no blame, but the townswomen cheered as she burned at the stake. Instead of dying, the Siren became demon through her rage and inflicts the pain she felt on married couples. Luring both the husband and wife with her song, she burns the husband's lungs with the same fire that burned her as the wife watches, and then engulfs the wife in flames.

Demons & Warlocks Arnon
This lower-level demon has the power to sense great power and can track powerful magical beings. He seeks to use his sensing ability to locate a powerful being who can help him gain great power. He also has the lethal power of strangulation.
Beings of Light The Elders
Elders are high-level whitelighters who are responsible for assigning whitelighters their charges and to ensure that whitelighters follow certain rules. When an Elder retires, he must pass his powers to another being, who then replaces him. An Elder can only pass on his powers at certain times, such as the equinoxes.

A gypsy hunter, Orin possessed the ability to identify gypsies from ordinary people. To stop him from killing their kind, the shuvanis of a gypsy tribe pooled their power to blind Orin. In an effort to gain revenge for his father, Orin's son Cree began taking the eyes of shuvanis, trying to find the mystical "evil eye" that would not only restore his father's eyesight, but give him powers as well.
Beings of Light Gypsies
A cousin tradition to witchcraft, gypsies share many similarities with witches. While most gypsies do not have active powers, they perform spells and use potions. High priestesses of the gypsy tradition are called shuvanis, and they pool their power to ward off evil.

He kills witches by making their worst fears come to pass and literally scaring them to death.
While in Purgatory, Barbas gained the ability to astral project and used his new ability to plant thoughts in Cole's mind, making him fear his new powers. Eventually he managed to fuel Cole's fear enough that Cole stripped his powers and Barbas absorbed them, allowing Barbas to emerge from Purgatory permanently.

Darklighters are evil counterparts to whitelighters, and have similar orbing capabilities. They also possess the only means of killing whitelighters: crossbows that fire arrows tipped in a poison that is fatal to whitelighters. Different types of darklighters exist.
A Tracker is a breed of darklighter that targets whitelighters on the verge of losing their wings. Trackers' poisoned arrows are more potent and kill more quickly.
Beings of Light Whitelighters
A person that does a great deal of good during his life may become a whitelighter after death. Whitelighters are sort of angelic creatures that watch over good people, both mortals and witches, and try to keep them from coming to harm. Whitelighters have the power to heal, hover and can travel by orbing.
While whitelighters eat, sleep, and otherwise function like regular human beings, they cannot be mortally wounded. These wounds will magically heal themselves. The only way that a whitelighter may be killed is by a darklighter's arrow, which is tipped in a poison made specifically for that purpose.
While the Elders can track whitelighters, if a whitelighter chooses to stop using his powers the Elder will be unable to track him. If a whitelighter is trying to disappear, only a blood relative can locate him again. If he chooses not to use his powers for a long period of time and the Elders can find no other way to locate him, eventually he will lose his whitelighter abilities.

His evil dates as far back as ancient Egypt, and in the past few decades he has surfaced in the Middle East, Cairo, Istanbul, and Tripoli. A group of witches tried to stop this demon, but did not have the power to vanquish him, only mummify him. An evil witch named Isis brought him back to life and they fell in love, but Isis was skinned alive by Jeric's enemies. Ever since, Jeric has been searching for the perfect body to house Isis' spirit, trying to find a witch with enough power for Isis to eject the host's spirit from her body.

Little is known of witch doctors except for their dedication to expel evil sprits from demonic footholds. Using strange unknown magic rituals, witch doctors feel their status as watch dogs of evil gives them the freedom to attack evil in all its shifting guises. While witch doctors are not evil, they are not well-trusted because of their tendency to rely on their own definitions of evil and have used their magic to harm good beings in the past.
Witch doctors have the power to place hexes on people using personal objects, turning their current fixations into obsessions, which leads to self-destructive behaviour. Poltergeists

A sorceror, Cronyn learned of a prophecy from his mentor of a twice-blessed child that would be born on a special day when all magic would cease to exist in the world. He came to realize that Piper was carrying this twice-blessed child, and with the help of a female demon who called herseld Doris, he managed to isolate Piper while she was in labor, hoping to kidnap the child and raise it to be a powerful force for evil.

These mythical creatures are from another world and represent the essence of good magic. A unicorn's horn is made of pure, concentrated magic.

Familiars are naturally attuned to the seasons and phases of the moon and can be helpful in teaching the young witch a heightened awareness of her environment.
Familiars who perform their job especially well are sometimes rewarded by being turned into humans, whose responsibility then becomes to take care of other familiars.

In seeking revenge for their father's death, these two brothers targeted a group of wood nymphs, trying to gain access to the Eternal Spring so that they could drink from the spring and become invincible.
Magical Beings Wood Nymphs
Wood nymphs are magical creatures that are responsible for protecting nature, and they are usually in the company of a satyr. Nymphs rarely leave their forest unless they feel threatened. They are entrusted with the responsibility of guarding the Eternal Spring, which bestows life and health to whomever drinks from it. Kazi demons are base-level creatures who have the power to kill by holding their vitims by the temples and overheating the victim's blood. While not very intelligent, Kazi warriors are quite strong and determined. Kazis are controlled by a Kazi King, who creates his warriors from his own body. Therefore, if a Kazi king is vanquished all of his warriors are vanquished as well.
Magical Beings The Monkey Totem
Centuries ago a sorcerer created a monkey to steal his enemy's senses, but he mistreated the monkey who in retaliation stole its master's voice. As punishment, the sorcerer turned the monkey into a wooden totem. The magic of the totem may be invoked to weaken one's opponent by stealing and capturing the opponent's sight, hearing and speech.

The Necromancer is not a demon, but the ghost of a demon who was vanquished. Mostly dwelling in the spirit realm he has dominion over the dead, although he has been known to excape to the land of the living. He no longer possesses power of his own, but feeding on the souls of the magical dead imbues him with temporary life. The length of his empowerment depends on the strength of the spirit. Creeper demons cloak themselves in the shadows and prey upon spirits. Vanquishing a leader of these demons vanquishes his entire clan.

While whitelighters are supposed to help others, they follow a strict set of rules in doing so. The Elders take responsibility for ensuring that whitelighters follow these rules.
Magical Beings The Titans
These God-like beings were very powerful, and lived many centuries ago. Having power over the Earth and its natural forces, soon they became corrupt with power and began abusing the control they held over the earth. In order to stop their tyrannical rule, the Elders imbued some mortals with a tremendous amount of power and they were able to entomb but not defeat the Titans. Elves
Elves are small magical creatures that have innate childcaring skills, which their powers reflect. Fairies
Fairies are mystical creatures that live in a realm parallel to ours but separated by a thin veil. The veil becomes lifted in "tween" places, such as doorways or shadows. At midnight, the time between night and day the entire world becomes a "tween".
Fairies have a magical dust with which they can do many things, including turning people into fairies. Leprechauns
Leprechauns are magical beings responsible for spreading luck. They use "gold nuggets" of concentrated luck, which they may use to grant a person either good or bad luck. They live in a separate realm, where they travel to using rainbows, which they light up with their shillelaghs.
