The Akashic Records

Believed to be a written account of all significant events throughout time, however the records have been lost for centures. An ancient table was discovered that is believed to be map that locates the records, but the tablet is written in a lost language that no one can decipher.


The Astral Plane

The astral plane is a realm of spirit and energy.


Astral Projection

This power allows someone to transport himself psychically and implant a sublimal thought into another person's mind.


Athame

An athame is a ceremonial tool, a double-edged steel knife, that witches use to direct energy.


Auras

The soul energy that every human possesses. Its strength is determined by the amount of goodness a person creates.


The Crystal Cage

Crystals may be enchanted and placed in a circle to entrap a demon in a forcefield. This forcefield will then contain the demon's powers.


Dark Weddings

This ritual which will bless a union with evil requires a dark priest to perform the ceremony. The ritual must take place in a cemetary at night and the groom must drink his bride's blood for it to be complete.


The Demonic Wasteland

When demons are vanquished, they are sent to the demonic wasteland where their bodies are destroyed and their powers are left to be devoured by the beast that inhabits the wasteland.

Excalibur

The sword Excalibur is a weapon of great power and makes anyone who wields it unstoppable. Only a chosen few are destined to wield Excalibur and only they may use the sword without becoming corrupt with its power.


Faustian Contract

These contracts are made between a demon and a mortal. The demon agrees to make the mortal very wealthy in exchange for her soul upon her death. The contracts read thus:

The undersigned hereby exchanges eternal rights to bid her soul to the demon Zahn in exchange for riches unimaginable. At the time of the undersign's death, his/her soul will become property of Zahn to trade or sell as he sees fit.

Furthermore, any party engaging in the before mentioned agreement will note that should Zahn perish permanently, souls in his possession will burn in flames for all eternity. Subject to the provisions set forth above the agreement is legally binding and begin immediately upon signature.


The Forty-Eight-Hour Window

Eons ago, in order to protect free will both good and evil agreed to a forty-eight hour window of opportunity in which a nascent witch may choose whether to be good or evil.


The Grimoire

The Grimoire is an important tome for Evil and it has the ability to protect itself from good. It contains the instructions for all of Evil's most important ceremonies.


Handfasting

Handfasting is the eternal bonding of two people in love. It is a sacred ceremony of commitment presided over by a high priestess. Best performed at a time of sunrise or sunset when both the sun and the moon are present in the joining of the two lovers.

Magical Amulets

The Amulets are two halves of an ancient charm. On their own they are extremely powerful, offering a shield against all but the most evil demons. Only great strength can overcome them.

Amulets are useless to anyone evil. They are for the use of good and Good only. Whoever joins the two amulets together more than doubles the protection, becoming invincible.

When the Amulets are brought together they need to be activated by the adjoining spell to release their Power.

The Nexus

A nexus is a geographical point equidistant from the five spiritual elements: earth, fire, water, wood and metal. It is a place of incredible energy that can be persuaded to be either a source of undeniable good or undeniable evil.

After the earthquake of 1906 in San Francisco, the Halliwell family constructed the manor on a spiritual nexus that, because of the location of the five spiritual elements, is a Wiccan one as well. Building the manor on that spot, claimed the nexus and its power for good.


Personal Gain

A witch is not supposed to use her powers for personal gain. If she does, then she will suffer appropriate consequences.


The Pewter Heart

This locket is what Melinda Warren captured Matthew Tate in so that he may suffer an eternity of torment. The locket may only be opened again by a member of the Warren line.


The Power of the Gods

Unfortunately, the mortals who received the power to defeat the Titans soon became corrupt with their power as well. They declared themselves as gods and forced people to worship them. Because of this outcome, the Elders decreed that those powers would never be used again.


The Prophecy of the Twice-Blessed Child

An ancient verse was recovered from the tomb of an apothecary, reading, "When three planets burn as one over a sky of dancing lights, magic will rest on a holy day to welcome a twice-blessed child."


Psychokinesis

This power allows someone to move things that he cannot see.


The Ring of Inspiration

This ring is designed to trap muses in times of crisis so that all muses' inspiration may be channeled to solve the problem.


Rite of Passage

During the rite of passage, a coven is confronted with a great evil, which it must fight it with the power of one or else a more powerful evil that awaits will destroy them.

Satyrite Crystals

Enchanting a series of satyrite crystals and placing them in a circle will create a booby trap. Any demon that steps inside the circle will be electrocuted.


Scrying

Scrying is a method that witches can use to locate people or places. With a map spread out before you, dangle a quartz crystal over the map and concentrate on for what you are searching. The crystal will pull towards its location.

How to Perform a Seance
A ceremony to contact the dead

To perform this ritual you will need six candles, white and purple in color, and a white cloth. In addition, you will need to sweeten the air by burning cinnamon, frankincense and sandalwood. As the fire burns, concentrate on contacting the spirit and chant the spell that follows. If you know the mortal name of the deceased adjust the chant accordingly.

Spirit Board

A spirit board is a tool consisting of a board with letters and numbers carved into it and a pointer that can be used in contacting spirits and other guiding forces.


Spirits

When a spirit enters a body, the invading spirit overloads the body and causes it to overheat because one body cannot house two souls. When invading a witch's body, the more power a witch has causes the body to overheat more quickly.


Time Loops

A time loop is a period of time that repeats itself over and over ad infinitum. Sometimes a time loop is localized to a specific place or group, but at other times a loop's effect can be felt globally. A few magical beings are powerful enough to create time loops, such as Tempus, the Devil's Sorcerer. But at other times a loop can be more cosmic. For example, certain spiritual traditions believe that a great evil or injustice can be cursed into a time loop until righted. Once the evil has been eliminated or the injustice has been corrected then time will stop repeating itself and again move forward.


Time Ripple

If something stops a destined event from occurring, a continuous slipstream through time, or a ripple, is opened in the place where destiny was cheated.


Time Travel

When time traveling, a witch may find herself without her powers because powers can only exist in one being at one time. So when traveling to the past, the past incarnation of the witch will have her powers. When traveling to the future, the consciousness of the witch from the present will reside in the witch's future body.


Valhalla

Valhalla is a heaven for the spirits of warriors where they are trained for the final world battle. Located on a secret island, one can only enter Valhalla undetected by using the pendant of a Valkyrie.


The Wiccan Rede

Witches must follow a code called The Wiccan Rede: "An it harm none, do what ye will." If a witch breaks this rede and uses her magic to harm others, she will cross over to the dark side and become a warlock, whose only goal is to kill good witch and obtain their powers.


The Wiccaning

The Wiccaning is a ceremony to be performed after the birth of a child by a matriarch of the family. This ceremony will bless the child in goodness and light, so that if the child should ever stray from her path, she will be guided back to good.

The next generation has been born into our family, our legacy. We pledge to be with this child always. Apart, but never separate, free, but never alone. S/he is one of us, and because of that, we will bless her/him with all the goodness that we are. Welcome to the family, [name]. Blessed be.

Witches' Powers

A witch's powers are contained in her blood and if that blood is injected into a mortal, the mortal might suffer if the witch's powers are strong enough. The need to do good things that a witch naturally feels will become an obsession in the mortal and will eventually cause him to go mad.
