TEASER
INT. Photography Studio - Day
Wyatt, in a shirt and bow tie, is against a background of a blue sky and big fluffy clouds. Photographer: "How's this? He looks like a little angel." Piper: "Now that you mention it - not to big on the whole Up There look. Maybe try the green again." The photographer, patience visibly waning, steps out from behind the camera to pull down the green sheet. He gets back behind the camera and Piper changes her mind again. Leo tells her other customers are waiting. She says she's had to wait too, "for years". She's wanted a family portrait since Wyatt was born but it's always been one thing or another that's prevented them from being able to do it and now that she's got them all there, she's not going to be pressured into a hasty choice. Leo tells her that at this point, it wouldn't be a hasty choice. Piper asks if she can help it that she wants it to be perfect. Leo says it will be no matter what kind of backdrop they have. Finally, she's ready. She takes Chris on her lap and sits next to Wyatt, Leo steps behind them and just as the camera clicks, the scene freezes mid-flash. He squints in the bright light and steps out to see Beta and Gamma. He tries to tell them he's in the middle of something, but the Avatars tell him they need his help and they wouldn't have come, but their business couldn't wait. Leo tells them what he's doing can't wait either. Gamma informs him it might be too late already for what they've got in mind and Beta tells him that someone has information which could bring the Charmed Ones to them, to help them. Leo asks if they're sure. Beta says they are, but the person is under demonic attack and they can't reveal themselves yet, so they need Leo's help. Leo finally agrees, knowing it's not going to go over very well with Piper and he steps back into the blinding flash of the camera and as Beta and Gamma disappear, the scene unfreezes. Leo tells Piper he's got to go and Piper tells him they get three poses and that was just the first one. Leo tells her something's come up and the photographer asks if they're doing more or not. Piper, thinking she's getting it, asks if it's Them. Then complains that she just got him back and why they can't have one normal family moment without the Elders "stupid jingle" butting in. Leo tells her it won't always be like this. Piper: "And what, is it like a dog whistle now, only you can hear it?" Leo starts to go, asking if Piper has the keys to the car, then he's gone, out the door.
INT. Demon Lair - Eternal Night
A demon lets loose with a fireball. The victim is barely visible behind a boulder. The ball hits the boulder, incinerating it. "Try to SEE your way out of this one, traitor." Then we see that the demon has three more buddies with him, one readies another fireball, but before he can throw it, lightening bolts hit him from behind and then one of the other demons. Leo stands by the cave entrance, seeing the demons between him and the victim. Another demon quickly hurls a fireball at him, but he uses his Avatar powers to deflect it, sending it back, vanquishing the demon. The leader shimmers out and Leo starts over to the victim. Leo kneels, worried, then he turns the limp victim over…"This can't be right." As he looks, in his arms is the Demonic Seer. She opens her eyes, brushes her hair from her face, and looks at him, pleased, "Thanks, you're my hero."

END OF TEASER
ACT I
INT. Manor - Attic - Night
Leo orbs in, already fed up with the Seer, who's holding her head in pain. "I got a lump that won't quit from one of those little snits. Sure you can't heal demons?" Leo: "Don't push it. I saved your life." Seer: "Only 'cause the stuffed shirts made you." Leo: "I'm not sure why you didn't just shimmer out of there." Seer: "And miss you coming to meet me, that would have been rude. Why's the Elders send YOU anyway? They know we had a thing?" Leo: "We didn't have a thing…" Seer: "Trying to put that ugly, ugly past behind you, I get it." Leo: "Don't waste your seeing power on me." Seer: "Don't have to be a Seer to know that. So this is where it all happens, huh? Pretty impressive. Oh my God, don't tell me that's…" She makes a beeline for the BoS but Leo blocks her path. "How about you tell me why your fellow demons want to kill you." Seer: "Didn't the Elders fill you in? You know, you're heard to read. But that's okay, I like a challenge." Leo tells her she's avoiding the question. Seer: "I'm selling them out for bigger and better things. They're miffed. Not that they wouldn't do the same to me in a New York minute." Leo: "Okay, look, I have to break this to Piper, if the sisters find you here they'll kill you…" Seer: "No they won't. Seen my death - no babes involved." Leo:" Well, they'll kill me, then. I have to break it to them gently. Don't move until I come back." He leaves and the Seer moves to the Book, but it flies across the room, landing on the floor.
INT. Manor - Kitchen - Night
Chris is in his high chair, Wyatt's at the table, in the middle of a culinary madhouse. Pots on the stove, cheese and fruit tray on a counter, a soufflé in the oven. Piper shoots Leo a look as he enters, "Don't you make any loud noises. I've got a soufflé in the oven and you've done enough damage for one day." Leo: "I'm really sorry, I know it was…" Piper: "It's okay, don't know why I thought things would be different this time anyway. I mean, how can we be a normal family when you're a blur?" Leo: "That's a little extreme, Piper. It's not like I'm running off all the time, I was called away once…" Piper: "No, in the picture. YOU are a BLUR." She hands him the portrait sheet and Leo winces. A perfect photo, except for Leo being blurred, having stepped out mid-flash. Leo tells her that she and the boys look great. Piper: "Yeah, well I didn't have to bring you have from the abyss for that. I hung it anyway - figure it's better than nothing." Leo: "I couldn't say no, it was important." Piper, opening the oven to check, "And so is Paige's date with Kyle tonight, so if you're done playing errand-boy for Elders, you can give the kids a bath while I put the finishing touches on her dinner." Leo, with no easy way to say it, "They need us to protect a demon." Piper, startled, lets go of the oven door. "They want us to do what??" Leo: "Protect a demon, just until…" Piper: "I heard you the first time - and the answer's no! This is exactly how things tumble out of control." Leo: "Try to keep an open mind." Piper; "Next thing ya know, you're possessed, people are getting blasted, the date's a mess, and nobody eats my dessert." Leo: "The thing is, the demon's already…" Piper: "No! No way am I protecting a demon. Especially not tonight - this date is important to Paige, and come hell or high water, I'm making sure NOTHING goes wrong." Piper pulls the deflated soufflé from the oven, "Oh crap…"

INT. Manor - Bathroom - Night
Paige, in a red outfit, is at the mirror putting on a necklace as phoebe enters with two dresses, offering one, "So I'm thinking the green is a slam dunk. It symbolizes hope, life…plus, it's hot." Paige: "I'm already dressed. Go away." Phoebe: "I know sweetie, but red's kind of, well, volatile. Sure, it's love, passion…" Paige: "Say no more." Phoebe continues, "But it also symbolizes danger - which means subconsciously you're a walking stop sign, romance-wise." Paige struggles with the clasp on her necklace. "Hey, I've already got butterflies about tonight, don't need cupid fluttering too." Phoebe tells her that when he puts the brakes on, don't blame her. She helps Paige fasten the clasp, saying she's hooked up plenty of people, but that her own sister won't listen to her. She says she took her advice, by making him a home-cooked meal, and she can't even cook. Phoebe says that's a minor detail, but she's on her own turf with no Avatar stuff to sidetrack things. Paige says he hopes that's what is holding him back and not something else. Phoebe tells her he's a basic work-a-holic but at least the chemistry's there…"Right?" Paige: "It's SO there I'm about to explode." Phoebe: "Oh, you poor thing." Paige: "Yeah, and the thing is, I really like him. He's kind, good sense of humor, and best of all, no secrets. He accepts me Wiccan warts and all." Phoebe: "Okay, you know what, this is gonna work out, because it's just too good not to." Paige asks if she thinks it's true. Phoebe says yes…but just to be sure, she should wear the green dress.
INT. Manor - Upstairs Hallway (continuous)
Paige tells her that's enough with the green dress and they see, heading downstairs, the Seer, "Nice dress…he loves red." Paige is momentarily flustered and Phoebe: "Hello, demon on stairs, no active powers here." Paige: "Right….mirror!" The hall mirror flies off the wall across the room but the Seer ducks in time and bolts to the stairs, "Leo! A little help maybe!" Phoebe: "Did you just call for Leo?"
INT. Manor - Dining Room - Night
Piper charges in from the kitchen having just learned, "The demon's in the attic? And you didn't tell me?" Leo says he tried, but she wouldn't let him. Piper: "Oh, sure, blame me, when you're…good God, what's next…" The Seer's heading downstairs and Piper gestures to blast but Leo yells at her not to. He shoves Piper, she falls, and the blast hits too high, shattering the newly hung family portrait. "Are you nuts? Why'd you go and do that?" Phoebe and Paige run down to see Piper picking herself up off the floor and the Seer taking cover behind Leo. "Hold your fire guys, I brought her here. She has information we need." Phoebe: "I highly doubt that." Then she asks Piper if she's okay. Piper nods, brushes herself off, and picks up the shattered portrait. Paige mentions that Kyle will be there any second and that there will be no demons in the house, not tonight. Piper: "Not ANY night." Seer, to Leo: "That surly one's your wife?" Piper: "Surly? Do you know her??" Paige: "Who cares? Just blast her already." Leo: "You can't." Piper: "Watch me." She gestures to blast Leo and the Seer, but the Seer speaks up. "Fine, kill me, who cares if I know enough to obliterate all upper-level demons…certainly not the Elders. Right Leo?" Leo tells the sisters they should hear her out. Seer: "Especially after your hunky guy here went to all that trouble of rescuing me from demons." Piper: "The Elders have us rescuing demons from demons now? Unbelievable!" Leo tries to tell them it's not what they think but the doorbell signals Brody's arrival. Paige tells Leo to get the demon out of there. Seer: "Relax, you'll have a great time. And then…you're gonna have a really, REALLY, great time." Paige: "Really?" The doorbell rings again and Paige heads off to answer it as the Seer calls out to her, "Just don't let him eat the eggplant." Piper: "What's wrong with my eggplant?" Paige, yelling, "Out!" Leo guides the Seer upstairs but Piper steers him away. "You take the boys to Magic School, we'll put her in crystals upstairs." Piper pushes the Seer up past Leo, still on the stairs, as the Seer notes: "Wow, your kids spend an awful lot of time there, don't they?" Piper's thrown by this as the Seer continues up, knowing she's hit a soft spot in Piper. Paige opens the door to a flower-bearing Brody. "Wow, you look beautiful, Paige." Paige, accepting the flowers, "Thank you…how sweet."

A mob of angry demons, each trying to be heard over the others, but one thing they all agree on, "The Seer must die!" A Swarm King watches as the Thrull Demon speaks. "The Seer's protected by the Charmed Ones now. We'll never get to her before she sells us out. We have no choice but to go to Zankou." Vulture Demon: "No, absolutely not. Zankou can never be freed." Swarm King: "He's right, out community has forbidden it for good reason. He's too powerful…" Thrull Demon: "But we need his power to go up against the Charmed Ones." Shouter Demon: "He's right. What the Seer tells them will destroy us all…she needs to be stopped at all costs. I say release Zankou." The Thrull demon nods in agreement…until the Swarm King hurls a fireball at him, vanquishing him. The Shouter Demon shrugs, "Or not…" He and the rest of the mob back up in deference to the Swarm King, who takes charge. "Anyone else scared to go up against the Charmed Ones?" He's greeted with silence and continues, "Good. Now who wants to join me for the slaughter?"

INT. Manor - Dining Room - Night
Candlelight, great food, very romantic atmosphere as Paige dishes up seconds. "Okay, so not only do you run a school and battle demons daily, you cook too." Paige confesses she really wasn't the cook, then asks if he wants more veggies. Brody: "Oh, no eggplant thanks…I'm allergic." Paige, thinking of the Seer's warning, "Wow, impressive." Then, realizing she said that out loud, "Your appetite, I mean, it's impressive…" Brody: "Can you tell I haven't had a home-cooked meal since…well…ever?" Paige says she gets the feeling he's been deprived of life's little pleasures. Brody says now that he's getting a taste of what he's been missing, he thinks it's time to fix that. Paige: "So, it seems pretty simple…I like you, you like me, where's the problem?" Brody: "You just say whatever comes into your head, don't you?" Paige: "And you're avoiding the question…" Brody says he's not sure how to answer. Paige tells him not to think so hard, to just say whatever comes to mind. Brody: "Okay, what the heck…You know how I told you a while ago I didn't have any secrets? Well…I do." Paige: "Wait, you…you're not married, are you?" Brody: "No, no, nothing like that." Paige asks him what it is if it's not that. Brody: "I'm not good with this stuff…" Paige: "Hey, if it makes it any easier, even I have my dirty little secrets." Brody: "Yeah, like what?" Paige: "Like…like this meal for instance. I can't really cook. This is all Piper, okay, there, I said it…hate me?" Brody: "No…not even close." He leans in to kiss her as the doorbell rings again. Phoebe darts down the stairs, one hand shielding her view of the lovers, "Never mind me, as you were…" She hurries past to the door and Paige suggests that since they're done eating, that they go up to her room.

INT. Manor - Foyer/Front Door - Night
Phoebe opens the door to find Morris waiting. "Darryl, hi! Actually, um…kind of a bad time, not that I'm not thrilled you're here, I'm all about the mended fences, but…" At that moment, Paige and Brody head upstairs and Morris steps in. "Phoebe, I think Paige's boyfriend might have done something really bad." Phoebe asks if it's about Inspector Sheridan…then asks if he's found her. Morris: "No. And when I confronted Brody about it, he said she jumped to a top secret task force, that's why there's no record." Phoebe, wanting to believe it, "Well, there you go." Morris continues, "Except there's always a record somewhere, so I looked around to find something you could scry with." Phoebe: "And?" Morris tells her that Sheridan's apartment has been cleaned out, stating that it must have been a professional job, someone doesn't want him to find her…and he thinks that 'someone' just went upstairs with her sister. Phoebe: "Never mind happy endings, we can't even have happy beginnings around here." Darryl pulls out a pen an hands it to her, saying he found it jammed behind Sheridan's old desk, he knows it's a long shot, but if she used it…Phoebe picks up on his thought, "I'll try scrying with it." Morris: "If Paige is dating a killer, she should know."
INT. Manor - Attic - Night
The Seer, surrounded by crystals, lounges on the couch, listing her demands to Leo and Piper, who are writing them down. "And one of those cute little scrunchie-face dogs, Sharpai I think it's called. I always wanted a pet. And if you'd throw in a lap pool, that'd be great." Leo: "You know, you might want to narrow it down to your top ten demands." Seer: "Hey, I got one chance here, once I spill my guts to you guys, I got no more bargaining chips. I'm milkin' it for all I can." Piper, to Leo, distracted, "You're sure the boys were happy when you left?" Leo: "Yes. Miss Donovan was reading to them." Seer, interjects to Piper, "Did you get the Sharpai down?" Piper: "Cause Chris has that bad diaper rash. And Wyatt's been so cranky." Leo: "Piper, they're fine - I don't know why you're so worried, we leave them there all the time." Piper: "Exactly! They spend more time at Magic School than they do at home." Seer: "She's right, you know." Piper: "You stay out of this." Leo: "I don't like leaving them there any more than you do, but we need to get this done before demons attack." Seer: "On that note, let's move this along, shall we?" Piper: "See? It's endless. I'll never get real time with my kids until we get rid of all the demons in the world, and I don't see that happening." Seer: "Hello! You're looking at one demon you CAN get rid of…preferably before I'm ambushed again." Piper, handing the list to Leo, "Fine. We got the list of what she wants, go see what the Elders say." Seer: "Hold on there, sugar, I got one more thing to add to the list…and it's a deal breaker. I want to be made human." Piper asks why such a powerful demon would want to be human. Before the Seer can answer, the crystal boundary starts to sizzle. The Swarm King bursts through, followed by a crew of six other demons. "Hello beautiful." He hurls a fireball at the Seer, who dives, but the ball grazes her arm. Leo, reacting quickly, hurls a lightening blast at the Swarm King, vanquishing him. Behind what's left of the couch, Piper pulls the Seer down. "Can't believe I slept with that guy,." Piper tells her to stay down and pops back up to help Leo, who ducks two fireballs then lightening blasts another demon and Piper blows up a third demon.
INT. Manor - Paige's Bedroom - Night
Paige an Brody, close, dreamy-eyed, about to kiss…"What were we talking about?" Brody: "Does it really matter?" Paige: "No…" They kiss until they hear a crash. The ceiling shakes and Brody looks up. Paige pulls him back in, "Don't worry, it's nothing." They go to kiss again and there's another loud bang from above, Paige tells him to ignore it. They do…until a third blast, where even the walls shake, makes them split apart and Paige tells him that one, she can't ignore. She gives him express instruction not to move and heads out before Brody can ask what's going on.
INT. Manor - Upstairs Hallway (continuous)
Paige exits her room to find Phoebe running up from downstairs. Both bolt to the attic as Phoebe asks Paige, "How's it going in there?" Paige: "Not loving the demon interruptions."
INT. Manor - Attic (continuous)
Leo and Piper team up to lightening blast/blow up the last demon standing. Phoebe and Paige run in just in time to see the end of the vanquish as the injured Seer sarcastically turns to Piper, "That proof enough for ya, Sweetie?"

ACT II
INT. Manor - Attic - Night
Leo looks at the Seer's arm wound and the sisters survey the damage. Phoebe: "So I take it crystals don't protect demons against demons?" Piper, spying a broken rocking horse: "I guess Chris won't be using this. We can't keep anything nice in this house, demons ruin everything." Leo touches the Seer's wound, "Ow! That hurts." Piper: "Get used to it, cause if this turns out to be a set-up…" Leo, looking at the wound, "THIS is not a set-up." Paige: "Can someone please remind me why we're protecting a demon?" Piper: "Apparently she's selling out her buddies. We're doing the witness protection thing till she negotiates a deal with the Elders." Seer: "Think of me as that guy Pussy on Sopranos, only the not-fat version." Phoebe: "They get HBO in the Underworld?" Seer: "I'm a Seer, remember?" Piper: "Look if you want us to ask the Elders to make you human, I think you should give us something first." Paige: "Woah, back up - HUMAN?" Seer: "I know, I know, I wouldn't actually have a soul, I can live with that." Phoebe: "This is too weird." Paige: "And a waste of time - I was in the middle of something." She starts to leave, but the Seer stops her with "Okay, fine - I'll give you something, a little enticement." Paige, impatient to get back, "Baited breath here…" Seer: "Okay, sure I have my little black book of demons, but I also have the skinny on a little thing called - The Avatars." Leo: "What do you know about the Avatars?" The Seer looks at him, trying to read him, Leo senses what she's doing and looks away, saved by Brody: "Yeah, what DO you know about them?" Seer: "Didn't I tell you he likes red?" Paige: "Okay, you gotta stop that." Seer: "What? It was a lucky guess." Brody: "Can we get back to the Avatars?" Seer: "You really are one-track-mind guy?" Brody: "Cut the crap, just tell us what you know." Seer: "I know they're close…closer than you think. Could be here any minute." Brody, having anticipated this, knowing what he has to do now, rushes out, as Paige calls to him t wait, but he's gone. She runs after him as Phoebe turns to Piper and Leo: "Pow-wow time kids, move it out." She leads Piper and Leo out, closing the door on the Seer.

INT. Manor - Upstairs Hallway (continuous)
As they head down, Phoebe: "Okay, here's what I don't get - why does the Seer want to turn human if the Avatars are close?" Piper: "Yeah, you'd think she'd want to be evil if evil's about to take over." Leo, seeing the opening, "Unless…the Avatars are good?" Phoebe: "Yeah, right…is that possible?" Piper: "Either way, I want HER gone and my boys home." She turns to Leo, "You get your butt up to the Elders and see if you can make a deal." Phoebe: "Meantime, I'll stay with the Seer. I figure we share a power in common, I might be able to tap into that - maybe get something out of her." Leo: "Yeah, if you could get a premonition that'd be great - we should try to get information out of her any way we can." Piper: "Especially with the Elders being so stuffy, I can't se them wanting to negotiate with a demon." Leo starts to orb out but Piper stops him, and asks phoebe if she'd mind if Leo drops her off so she can check on the boys. Phoebe tells her to go, but they should make a vanquishing potion first, "seeing as how our house guest is a demon magnet." The sisters continue on down the stairs and once Leo's alone, he addresses the room, "You've put me in an awkward position." Beta, Gamma and Alpha materialize to find Leo upset. "Why didn't you tell me I was rescuing a demon?" Gamma: "I'm sorry, we should have, but there wasn't time. She was about to be killed." Alpha: "We couldn't take the chance that you'd say no. This is out chance to bring the sisters to our side." Leo: "You're taking an even bigger chance parking a demon in the manor." Beta: "W know it's dangerous, but we're at a crossroads." Gamma: "Agent Brody is a threat we didn't count on, he has the means to destroy us and the passion to turn the sisters against us." Alpha: "We're taking a calculated risk in the hopes of guiding them towards the right road."" Leo: "This isn't calculated. It's foolhardy. The Seer's a live wire, she'd rat me out in a heartbeat." Beta: "Except she has no idea you're one of us. She sent her message to the Elders, we simply intercepted it." Leo: "She'll see through me…" Alpha: "She won't if you get her what she wants - make the deal." Leo: "Fine, I'll go to the Elders - but I still say this is insane." Gamma: "Leo, think about it - the Seer can literally show the Charmed Ones how beautiful our future will be." Beta: "She's the most powerful Seer of all, her vision is worth a thousand words."
INT. Demon Lair - Eternal Night
Shouter Demon: "They should've been back by now." Vulture Demon: "They're dead. Charmed Ones got 'em." Shapeshifter: "Yeah, well, we'll all be dead soon if we don't pull out all the stops." Vulture Demon: "What kind of stops you pullin' out, Shapeshifter? You're a coward with no powers." Shouter Demon: "We should revisit the Zankou idea." Vulture Demon: "Forget it. Too risky." Shapeshifter: "Who's scared now, hot shot?" The Vulture Demon pulls back to fire at the Shapeshifter, but the Shouter Demon stops him, "Guys, the demon race will never evolve if we don't learn to get along." The Vulture demon points out that no one gets along wit Zankou and they shouldn't release him. The Shapeshifter says that once the Avatars get there, it won't matter since they'll all be dead. The Shouter says he's with the Shapeshifter, they have to get Zankou, and there's a reluctant murmur of agreement from the rest of the demons assembled.
INT. Manor - Attic - Night
The potion vial nearby, the seer flips through a singed photo album. Phoebe looks over her shoulder, looking for an inconspicuous way to get a premonition. Seer: "You know, you girls really should take better care of your things - some of these pages are singed." Phoebe, casually putting a hand on her back, "Yeah, well maybe you can tell your friends to be more careful next time they try to kill you." Seer, off the album, mesmerized, "Look at this - you're like, a family, and there's like, pictures of fun times and stuff." No premonition so Phoebe leans over, this time touching the Seer's arm as she points out a photo, "Look how cute - that was Wyatt's first birthday. Hey…are those my earrings?" She touches the earrings, still not getting a premonition. Seer: "Yeah, sorry, they called to me…" she looks at the photo album again, "Wow, you're all so close, and you LIKE each other and you're happy and…" Phoebe, still trying for a premonition, touches the Seer's back as if to comfort her, "Happy and…what?" Seer: "And could you push a little harder on that right shoulder? If you're not gonna get a premonition you could at least work on that knot." Phoebe, busted, "Can't blame a girl for trying." Seer: "Hey, when I first started getting visions, I had to touch people, too." Phoebe, impressed, "But not anymore?" Seer: "After 300 years, I don't even have to be in the same room." Phoebe: "Wow! You don't look a day over 200." Seer: "You'd be amazed how the power advances. Phone." Phoebe: "Phone? Huh?" NOW her cell rings. "Oh, phone!" She picks it up, "Hey, Darryl, not a good time, I'll call you back." She hangs up and takes another look at her earrings, "Not that I'm okay with you stealing my stuff, but those do look amazing on you. But, hey, what wouldn't, right?" Seer: "You know, sugar, much as I enjoy the flattery, the bonding, even the touching - you're not getting anything out of me until you make me human." Phoebe: "Fine, I get it, but what I don't get is why you even want to be human. Did all the bad stuff start to get to you?" Seer: "No, the GOOD stuff did. In my line of work I've seen a lot, good and bad…and the good's just…better. Problem is, I can see it, but I can't feel it." Phoebe: "That's the thing about vision, it's a blessing and a curse." Seer: "Yep - I found myself wanting stuff, not demony stuff, real things. Being a demon's all about feeding the endless emptiness, I'm sick of it - I crave the subtle notes in between." Phoebe: "Okay, and the Avatars fit in there somewhere, but I can't figure out how…oh, right, bargaining chip." Seer: "Look, it's not like I'm being tight lipped and mean JUST for the fun of it, I can't give you what you want, or I won't get what I want." She looks to, and reads, Phoebe, "Oh, I see, you're not sure I even have anything you want…" Phoebe, impressed, "Not that I don't trust you, but you are a demon afterall." Seer: "How about I help you with your other problem instead, you know, the thing with the cop - Sheridan. If I found her for you, then would you trust me?" Phoebe takes a beat, then hands over the pen Darryl found, "Got for it."
INT. Brody's Apartment - Night
Clothes fly out of a closet as Brody maniacally shoves things aside to get his small silver briefcase. Across the room, Paige watches, concerned, as Brody unlocks it. "Kyle, you gotta calm down…" Brody: "We're wasting time, we should've orbed here." Paige: "I thought the drive would give you time to chill." Brody: "If the Avatars are as close as the Seer says, we have to be prepared." Paige: "Okay, Kyle, you're scaring me now…what the hell is that?" Brody, holding the vial of anti-Avatar potion, "It's what my parents were killed for - Avatar vanquishing potion." Paige: "I didn't know it existed." Brody: "Neither did my parents - to them this was just an artifact." Paige: "So the civilization they unearthed - they'd fought the Avatars?" Brody: "And won, apparently. The Avatars went into retreat - until now. Just so you know, I plan on using this the first chance I get." Paige tries desperately to reason with him and they talk a bit longer, but Brody's not hearing it. He wants revenge, the sooner the better. Yet in the end, she kisses him. Brody, grateful, wanting her more than ever, pulls her in.
EXT. Golden Gate Bridge - Dawn
Leo's just finished telling Odin about the Seer and her offer. Odin is wary, as expected. "I don't understand why you're just coming to us now with this." Leo tells him he had to make sure the Seer was safe first. Odin asks how he found out about her. Leo says she called for help…and he heard it. Odin tells him they can't negotiate with a demon and Leo tells him the Seer will give them all they need to go after every upper-level demon. Odin: "In exchange for making her human? I don't think so. We have more pressing concerns than demons right now - like the Avatars gaining ground." Leo: "She might know something about the Avatars, too." Odin asks what, but all Leo can say is that he's not sure, but he has the feeling she's seen something. Odin says if she has, it would change everything…then concedes that if she does know anything, it might just be worth bargaining for…but they need proof first. Leo says he'll see what he can do and Odin says he'll get the council together to discuss the possibility of making the Seer human. With that, Odin orbs out, leaving Leo to make the next move.

EXT. Hospital - Day
Around the side of the building, Morris waits, checking his watch as Phoebe and the Seer shimmer in. "What the hell? How'd you…? Who is this?" Phoebe: "Darryl…the Seer, Seer…Darryl. So…let's see if Sheridan's here." She starts towards the entrance but Darryl stops her, "Not so fast, you think I wouldn't recognize a demon by now? I can't believe you brought a demon.." Phoebe: "Actually, she brought me." Seer, to Phoebe: "Go easy on him, wife's had him sleeping on the couch all week." Darryl, overhearing it, freaks out: "What? How'd she know that?" Phoebe: "SEER…get it…she sees things. And she's perfectly harmless. Good, too. I can barely hold a candle to her." Seer: "That's so sweet. And so not true. And don't worry, she'll get over it…just bring her some of that Marzipan she likes." Darryl: "You think? Like the little fruit…what am I doing listening to a demon?" Phoebe: "Darryl, don't be rude…she's the one who found this place." Darryl: "What a fool I was, thinking this crazy stuff wouldn't happen anymore…I mean this, this right here…" Phoebe: "…is why you stopped hanging with us in the first place. I know. But really, tell me you didn't miss this just a teensie little…" Darryl: "What the hell is she doing?" The Seer is spinning on the patch of lawn like a little kid. Phoebe steps in to pull her away, "There'll be plenty of time for that when you're human." Seer: "Come on, you gotta take your shoes off for me, so I can feel it through you." Phoebe; "I'm sorry, but we have to get back before Leo does or he'll flip." The Seer dutifully follows Phoebe into the hospital. Phoebe calls back to Morris, who hasn't budged, "You coming?" With a deep sigh, he joins them.
INT. Hospital Mental Ward - Hallway (continuous)
The Seer removes her sunglasses, struck by the scattering of dazed and half-crazed patients. Morris, in cop mode, forges ahead, glancing into open rooms. The Seer hangs close to Phoebe. "What kind of place is this?" Phoebe: "A mental hospital. Where you go when you're, you know, not all there, up there." They pass a man in a wheelchair muttering to himself. Seer: "Bats in the belfry. Got it." She's clearly disturbed, "I'd never seen this side of good in my visions…it's so…bad." Phoebe: "There is a downside to being able to feel things." Seer: "Yeah, well, I'll still take good that's not always good over bad that's never good." Phoebe: "Strangely, I get it." Darryl: "Might have something here, a Jane Doe…" Morris opens a patient's door and as they step in the room, their faces grow grim, "Oh my God…" On the bed, surrounded by tubes and monitors, is Inspector Sheridan…in a coma. Phoebe immediately pulls out her cell and dials, "Come on, Paige…please pick up."
INT. Brody's Apartment - Day
Paige's cell is ringing on the desk…but a trail of clothing leads us to the bedroom where she and Brody are blissfully oblivious to the cell.

INT. Manor - Dining Room - Day
The Seer lags behind as Leo, stressed out, feeling this could all fall apart, hurries downstairs. Phoebe, right behind him, won't be denied, "We have to get Paige away from him NOW, Leo, before Kyle puts HER in a coma, too." Leo: "I'm sorry, I'm still stuck on how you were stupid enough to take the Seer out of the house." Phoebe says she needed to find out if Paige is dating a madman, which she did, and she is, and they need to go get her. Leo says she could have waited until he got back and that she didn't need to take the Seer. Seer: "Came back, didn't I?" Leo: "Only because you need us." Phoebe: "And cause she likes us." Leo: "Great, you two buddies are reading each other now?" Seer: "What are you afraid of, that I might tell her your dirty little secrets?" Leo, trying to stay in the game, looks at her, poker-faced, "What makes you think I have secrets?" The Seer says it's because she can't read him…yet. Then she turns the conversation to the Elders, and the lack of information as to what they told Leo. Leo says they're considering the request, but she needs to tell them about the Avatars first. The Seer says she won't, she doesn't trust them. Phoebe: "Enough of this. Paige is in danger." Seer: "She's right. I sense it too." Leo: "Do I need to separate you two?" Phoebe; "No, you need to get Piper from Magic School, so you can get Paige the hell out of Kyle's apartment." Leo: "Okay…but don't go anywhere, and keep the potions close this time. She's no good to us dead." He grabs a handful of vials, hands them to Phoebe, and orbs out. Phoebe looks at the vials, then to the Seer. "I'm just curious - if the Avatars are bad, wouldn't it be safer for you to stay a demon?" Seer: "You're wondering if Leo's wrong about the Avatars?" Phoebe: "Yeah. Could they be…good?" Seer: "It's a smart question…one I'll be sure to answer once I get my lap pool, the ability to feel." Phoebe: "Fine, but you're gonna OD your demon friends for me. I'm not letting you die before I get my answer."
INT. Demon Jail/Cave - Eternal Night
The Shouter Demon, Vulture Demon and the Shapeshifter are now joined by a Demonic Wizard. The Shapeshifter worries that they might be making a mistake and the Shouter says they don't have a choice. The group steps towards the cave's entrance and we see swirling masses of particles behind a magical barrier. The Wizard pulls a vial from his sleeve and throws it at the door, causing the magical barrier to explode and allowing Zankou out. "Too bad the Source isn't still alive…I owe him for this." He sees the demons, who all lower their heads in deference, then, accuses, "One of you was against freeing me…" Knowing admission means certain death, nobody says anything. Then, admitting it, the Vulture Demon speaks up. "It was me. I figured the Source incarcerated you for a reason, because you were too dangerous…" Zankou holds his look for a moment, then gestures as if to vanquish him, but instead, spares him with a smile, "I like an honest demon. Now, where's the Seer?" Shouter, surprised: "You know about…" Zankou: " know everything. I've been sensing it all from my prison. I even know about the Avatars." Shouter, impressed: "The demonic forces await your word." Zankou: "A legion won't get past the Charmed Ones. But a Shapeshifter might…" The Shapeshifter speaks, saying he is one and Zankou shoves a hand into the demon's chest. The Shapeshifter screams as Zankou's arm glows, then he explodes, mercifully vanquished. Zankou smiles, "Now…I'm one, too."
INT. Brody's Apartment Building - Hallway - Day
Leo and Piper come around the corner, mid-conversation. "Why am I always the last to know everything?" Leo: "I orbed for you as soon as I found out. Besides, we don't know for sure Paige is in any danger." Piper: "Putting a woman in a coma is kind of a big, 'Danger, don't date!' sign…I don't even want to think about how crushed Paige is gonna be when she finds out." Arriving at Brody's door, Piper starts knocking. "And please explain why the Elders didn't jump at the chance to get the Seer's information?" Leo: "It's how they do things." Piper: "What she knows could save the world, for God sake, you'd think that might warrant skipping the paperwork." She knocks again as Leo tells her, "It's worked this way for hundreds of years." Piper: "Then it's time to revamp the system." Leo agrees with her as she starts knocking again. Finally, Kyle opens the door, shirt half undone, "Piper, Leo…come in…"

INT. Brody's Apartment - Living Room (continuous)
Piper and Leo step in as Paige emerges from he bedroom, wearing Brody's shirt, and he lovingly takes her hand, causing Piper to dread what she's about to say even more. She turns to Leo: "So much for breaking it to her before they had sex." Paige, seeing them, "Hey guys…what's up?" Piper: "What's up is…know how Darryl was looking into how maybe Sheridan…Leo, tell 'em." Leo: "Phoebe and Darryl just found Sheridan…in a mental institution…in a coma." He turns to Brody, "We think you put her there." Paige: "I know. Kyle told me." Piper; "Wait a sec…you know? And you're okay with it?" Paige: "We've all done things we're not proud of. Right Leo?" Leo: "This is different, Paige…he shot an innocent…" Brody: "With a tranq-dart…" Piper: "Which put her in a coma…" Paige: "To help US…" Brody: "Temporarily. I'll bring her out of it as soon as the threat is over." Leo adds, "Having lost a big chunk of her life." Paige tells him that he, of all people, should understand making sacrifices, and what Kyle did was to help rid the world of a major evil. Leo comments that to him, it looks like Kyle's the evil one, not the Avatars. Brody, heated, "Are you insane? Of course they're evil, they killed my parents, they…" Piper: "Look, we're not solving this anytime soon, and there's a Seer at the Manor we need to attend to. You should get dressed so we can orb home." Paige tells them she's not going.
INT. Manor - Conservatory - Day
Phoebe's at the Book, behind her, the Seer's been dishing out info. "Okay, Furies, toxic…emphasis on the 'ick'. Grimloks, emphasis on the 'grim' - hate me…" Phoebe; "So, I'm thinking pretty much every demon in here hates you?" Seer: "Pretty much. And they're MY family, that's the sad thing. I mean, it will be sad once I can feel…think I'll be able to feel if I don't have a soul?" Phoebe: "I'll make sure it's in the spell." Seer: "Thanks. You really care what happens to me, don't you?" Phoebe, a little thrown by the comment, admits it. Seer, genuine: "That's nice. I like that." Leo orbs in with Piper just then, and Phoebe asks where Paige is. Piper tells her she stayed with Kyle. Phoebe can't believe it, "What? Even after you told her?" Leo says they didn't have to, Kyle had already informed her as to Sheridan's whereabouts and Piper says she's okay with it. Piper then turns to the Seer: "Add that to our list of problems that could be solved by you giving up the Avatar information." The Seer tells her that she knows her terms. Piper; "Well, your terms are ridiculous." Leo: "What if I personally make sure you get what you want?" Seer; "Like I'm supposed to trust YOU now?" Piper: "What's with you two?" Seer: "All I know is the Avatars are a powerful force…and your secret weapon is in here." She taps her head and Piper, fed up, turns to Phoebe, "Oh please, Phoebe, talk to her." Phoebe: "You know how you sensed I care about what happens to you? Well, I sense you care about me, too…tell me what I need to know, and I won't let the Elders screw you." Seer: "I can't tell you. But I can show you…" With that, she reaches out and takes Phoebe's hands. As they connect, a white glow surrounds them both.
Phoebe's Vision - Ext. Street - Elementary School - Day
Kids stream out of the school building and Phoebe sees herself, waiting at the bottom of the stairs. She's glowing, relaxed, happy…no signs of stress and she lights up as 8 year old Wyatt and 6 year old Chris run out. Wyatt: "Hi Aunt Phoebe!" Phoebe says hello to them and bend to hug them. Then, a voice is heard, "Mommy, Mommy!!" and a smaller little girl, Melinda, runs up and jumps into Phoebe's arms. "Mommy, Chris was scaring me about the demons again." Phoebe: "I told you, my love, demons don't exist anymore. Bot since the Avatars came." Across the street, the real Phoebe takes it all in…beautiful daughter, no demons, no stress…then she's back, out of the vision.
INT. Manor - Conservatory (continuous)
The Seer and Phoebe are still in their psychic embrace. Phoebe's serene, content, but Piper and Leo keep watch nearby. Piper asks the Seer: "She's smiling, couldn't be too awful, right?" Seer: "She's seeing Utopia, no demons, beyond good and evil…" Suddenly, the Seer jerks back, Phoebe's eyes snap wide open in terror and Piper panics, "What's happening? What is it?"
Phoebe's Vision - Demonic Cave - Eternal Night
The Seer runs into frame, leans against a cave wall, and her eyes dart around like a hunted animal. Then, hearing something, she takes of again, through the cave. Zankou: "You screwed me, now you pay." With a flick of his hand, he blasts a stream of swirling particles at her. She screams in agony as the particles surround her, torturing her like demonic bees then, finally, vanquish her in a fiery blast.
INT. Manor - Conservatory - Day
Phoebe is thrown backwards, out of the vision. She lands on the couch and her eyes fill with emotion. Piper asks her what's going on. Phoebe: "I just saw the most beautiful thing…and the most terrible."

ACT IV
INT. Manor - Conservatory - Day
Phoebe and the Seer process what just happened. Seer: "Now you know why I'm doing this." Phoebe: "Yeah, if it's like Wyatt said and there's no demons in the future, you'd be extinct." Seer; "Not to mention Zankou, the brute you saw kill me . It's guys like him that made me want to be human." Leo: "We should keep in mind that the future's volatile, the choices we make, what we do, can change it. What you saw may never happen." Phoebe: "Look, I know we might make a wrong turn somewhere, but knowing the future I just saw is an option, I sure would like to steer it in that pretty great direction. It was amazing, I was so peaceful, so calm and happy and…and Melinda…oh my God, so precious…" Seer; "Yeah, not normally big on the rug-rats, but she was cute." Phoebe: "Now I'm really worried about Paige. Kyle's hell-bent on destroying something that could be good." Piper: "e can't be sure about this yet. Even you made the Avatar future sound threatening." Seer; "Well, duh, if I'd made it sound all peachy, think you would've helped me? Fact is, I saw no threats…how about you Leo?" Piper: "Okay, that's it…what is going on with you two?" Seer: "You gonna tell her Leo, or should I? Told you I like a challenge. So…what's it gonna be?" Leo, half expecting this, braces himself, "Loo…here's the thing…I actually know the Avatars are good because…because I am one." Piper: "What?! That's insane!" Leo: "No, it's the truth." Phoebe: "Wait…you've been living in our house, walking around being an Avatar and you didn't tell us?" Leo: "Guys, I'm still the same old Leo…" Piper: "Only NOT…is this how you went from crazy abyss guy to happy guy, you turned into an Avatar?" Leo: "What changed me was finding out we can have what we've always wanted, a normal life without demons. They showed me a world beyond good and evil, peaceful, and yes, happy…like Phoebe saw in her vision." Piper: "Happy's not the point, the point is…I'm your wife for God Sake…why didn't you tell me?" Leo tells her he couldn't, not until they were all ready. Piper: "Don't you guru talk me, Leo…you are in WAY too much trouble if you think that.." Seer: "Um…okay, guys…GUYS! Can we maybe put this on hold for a sec?" Phoebe: "She's right. This can wait. SHE can't. I saw her vanquish, we need to make her human now, before the demon gets to her. Whatever your allegiances are now, she held up her end of the deal, now it's the Elder's turn." Leo: "I can't just tell them the Seer saw a Utopia, they'll never believe me." Phoebe: "But, they'll believe ME. Piper'll help you get ready for your new life. And you should borrow the dress to go with those earrings…if you're going to be human, you gotta dress the part. We'll be right back with the spell." She Seer smiles and they share a moment before Leo orbs out with Phoebe

EXT. Golden Gate Bridge - Day
Odin waits, surprised when Leo orbs in with Phoebe, "What is she doing here?" Phoebe; "I'm here to give you what you want to know." Odin: "So the Seer told you something?" Leo: "She told us that the Avatar's future is a Utopia." Odin: "That's not possible." Phoebe: "I've SEEN it." Odin: "It's going to take more than that…" Phoebe: "That's why I'm going to SHOW you." He reaches out and takes his hands. Phoebe closes her eyes, their hands glow, and Odin reads her. As Phoebe releases his hands, Odin comments that it can't be right, it has to be some sort of trick. Phoebe; "The vision speaks for itself." She tells him to take his time sorting it out, but she needs the spell. Odin asks: "What if it's all a sham?" Phoebe: "If it is, it's not the Seer's fault. She's just the messenger, you still need to honor your end of the deal." Odin says it hasn't been approved by the Council. Phoebe: "Look, I didn't brave vertigo to give you that vision just to come back empty handed. Or is your word worth less than a demon's?"
INT. Manor - Upstairs Hallway - Day
Piper exits her room with an over-stuffed duffel bag, zipping it up as Paige orbs in, "Hey, I'm glad you're here, I was worried about you." Paige: "I'm fine. Just here to get some clothes." Piper, clearly disappointed, "Oh." Paige heads to her room but Piper stops her, "Well if you're looking for your red winter coat, the one missing a button, I gave it to the Seer." Paige: "Why? It's not like demons get cold." Piper: "Only…soon, she won't be a demon." Paige asks if that means the Seer gave them info. on the Avatars. Piper: "Even better, because of their shared power, she was able to give her vision to Phoebe." Paige: "How bad was it?" Piper: "That's the thing…from what Phoebe saw…it was GOOD." Paige: "And you believe a demon over Kyle?" Piper says she doesn't believe one way or the other, she's just keeping an open mind. Paige says everything they know, everything they've learned, points to the Avatars being evil. Piper says they should at least explore it, just in case. Paige tells her to explore it, and if she sees an Avatar, to call her…so she can vanquish it with Kyle's potion. With that, she storms into her bedroom and Piper heads upstairs.
INT. Manor - Attic (continuous)
Piper: "You know, I don't think Phoebe would mind throwing in a pair of shoes." Seer: "Thanks, but I won't need them…soon as I'm human, I'm hoping your guy'll orb me to Golden Gate Park…so I can finally run through that grass." Piper, taken by her longing, "So, I threw a few things together, should get you by 'till you settle in…any idea where you'll go?" Seer: "I don't know, I think I'm going to get on a train and just see where it takes me." Piper: "You thought of a name for yourself?" Seer: "Oh, my name's Anya. Always has been…just everyone calls me Seer. Honestly now, how do I look? I've never worn anything but black." Piper: "Well, Anya…you look great." Phoebe enters from downstairs, alone as Piper asks if she got the spell. Phoebe: "Oh, yeah, Leo's got it. He's downstairs trying to convince Paige not to leave." Piper says she already tried and it's useless. Then, looking at the Seer, "We're pushing our luck here, that demon could show up any minute." Phoebe: "Right…why don't you get the spell." She exits and once she's gone, Phoebe checks out the Seer, "Hey, nice. That's a good color on you." Seer: "Sure you don't mind me borrowing it?" Phoebe: "Of course not. Although I'm a basic black person myself…especially for a funeral. Don't you agree ANYA?" Seer: "Wait, how did you know…" Then, it hits her, just as 'Phoebe' grabs her throat and morphs into Zankou. "Hello sugar!" Seer: "Did I call you that ever? What I meant to say was, hello swirling particles of scum." Zankou: "You always were amusing. But still…I can't let you betray us all just to save your own ass…" He hurls a blast just as Piper enters, vanquishing the Seer just like in her vision. Phoebe, holding the spell, and Leo orb in to witness the gruesome end. Zankou calmly looks at them, "It's good to be back!" He shimmers out before the sisters can move, stunned. Piper looks down and her heart sinks as the earrings the Seer borrowed rest on the scorch mark from the vanquish. "It wasn't you in here before, was it?" Phoebe: "That demon…he was the one in the vision. Zankou." Piper; "We can't keep doing this…there has to be a better way." Phoebe: "There is. She showed me. And it was beautiful. I think we should meet them." This is what Leo's been praying for, but he wants the sisters to be sure. When he opens them, the Avatars, Alpha, Beta and Gamma, materialize. Piper and Phoebe take a good, long look at them, then, Piper: "Alright, we're listening."
