This topic is about any dreams you've have good or bad that you'd like to talk about... (I got the idea from CP talking about a dream she had and thought it would be cool if people wanted to talk about their dreams and get others to interpret what they might mean.)

WAY COOL I totally forgot about that one. I was trying to interpret my dreams for awhile there, but then I wasn't able to remember my dreams every single night, even when I tried to program myself to. I'm really excited about this one, because I have some really weird dreams sometimes. Can I tell you a few that I remember distinctly? I hope so, 'cause here goes:
The most prominent real dream I've had is when I was in the Air Force and married to my ex, we lived in Washington State. He got me into guns, like going to the shooting range and cleaning it, etc. Well it was bothering me that if someone were to break into the apt., would I be able to shoot them and defend myself? So here's the dream: I came home from work (AF) and when I entered, I felt like someone was watching me, but I didn't see anyone there. I calmy went into our bedroom and took off my hat and coat, and got my .357 magnum that was loaded with hot loads (which will put a hole the size of a half dollar going in and blow out the exit totally, like the size of a large exercise ball) I went over to our walk-in closet and opened it. Standing at the back of the closet against the wall was a guy that was about 5'7" or so, long, stringy, dirty blonde hair, thin, scraggly looking and he said, like a black guy, "Hey Mama, I'm not gonna hurt you!" I had pulled my gun up in position to fire. I said to him in a calm voice "If you take one step forward I WILL shoot you." He just looked at me as if to say "Yeah, right." He took one step forward and I shot him right between the eyes. I was really gross. It blew the whole back of his head clean off and onto the wall behind him. I felt really sick to my stomach and I also felt his life force leave him and me. I woke up sick to my stomach. I PRAY that I will NEVER have to shoot anyone, but at least I know that I could if I absolutely had to. Plus, I don't have THAT gun anymore, the ex took it with him. I've got Dad's .38, but I've got to get it registered still. Isn't that a bizarre dream though? It felt like it was happening in real life too. I REALLY hope I NEVER have to.

scary dream, I can't say much about them though. I can never seem to remember dreams, the ones I do remember though are day drreams (do those count?), I have them all the time in school.
I think people who remember dreams are really lucky, I haven't remember a dream sisnce I was 6.

Andi, All I can say is that maybe at the time you dreamt that dream maybe you were concerned about home safety and what you would do if something happened or maybe hear something somewhere that made you dream of something like that.. that really is not that strange of a dream, scary yes, strange no.
I've had several very vivid dreams that I will post all of them eventually, but the one of the ones that stands out is the re-occuring nightmare I had for 10 years about being burned alive in a trailer. I've never lived in a trailer and because of that dream will NEVER live in a trailer, but it was so vivid and frightening I would dream it not every night, but maybe a couple times a month for 10 years. It would always be the same, I would wake up in this trailer and smell smoke coming from somewhere (I could never figure out where) and immediately woke everyone up in the trailer and made them go outside everyone else got out safely, but then I realized that my cat (I didn't even have a cat at this time of my life, but I knew in the dream he was my cat) was inside and I would go back in the trailer, I could hear him crying (meowing) and finally found him and was able to grab him and went to break one of the small ventlike looking windows to let him out and fire would be dancing around me and just as I got to the window I would wake up sweating like I was burning up. It always ended the same way. I could feel my flesh being burned and I could smell my skin burning and the smell of smoke was so overwhelming it really shook me up to the point that if I go visit someone somewhere that has a trailer, I won't stay there except to visit for a few minutes...... In fact, my father has talked about getting a fifth wheel (as he calls them) and moving somewhere and asked if I would visit him, I've said of course dad, but I'll never stay over night.... I'll stay in a hotel first.

Wow, that's wild that you actually could feel your skin burning and smell it too. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO That's awful Kat.
Here's a short, but wild one: I was walking down a dirt road with about 4 other people (my friends, but I didn't know them in real life) with wheat fields and plowed fields along the road. At the end of the road there was a fence and another field of wheat. We were all looking in different directions and then we all looked ahead at the same time and saw a tall man dressed in a long, black overcoat and a hat with no face. Then we all heard something in the plowed field to the right of us and turned to see what it was, when we turned back, the man was gone. So, we headed across this plowed field when all of a sudden it turned into a lake or something. So, there was a barn in the middle of the field and we swam to it. Then just as we all got to the barn, there was a shark in the water and I had to pull everyone up to safety on the taller bails of hay. I lost a guy though to the shark, because he wouldn't listen to me and grab the bails of hay and climb up them. But, I saved everyone else. He was a jerk anyway (probably my ex-husband). he he

;D ;D ;D Yeah, but where the heck did the shark come from and why did the field turn into water? I've tried to analyze my dreams many times and I'm not very good at it unless I have a dream dictionary to look at, which I have one called "Mary Summer Rains Dream Dictionary". It's pretty good. Plus, I've got two other ones that I look at too. But, your really supposed to make your own dream dictionary so that your dream symbols mean more to YOU, and not someone else.
This is another dream I had a really long time ago, but I still remember it because it was really weird. In my dream, I went to visit my friend John and he was remodeling his house. He was showing me around and explaining what all he had done and what else he was going to do. Then this girl came in and she looked like she had down syndrome a little bit, but she didn't sound like it. She started talking to me and I was really impressed that John would befriend such a person (He's rather shallow). Then she started flirting with me and tried to kiss me and when I told her "No, get away from me", her face started turing into a pigs face. Then I ran away to get John and I couldn't find him, so I got in my car and started driving and I found John in the car with me. I asked him about the girl and he said he's never seen her do that before so he didn't know what I was talking about. We drove aways and then were surrounded by those huge drainage pipes that go under ground. Then I woke up or don't remember anymore of the dream. I had a guinea pig named Mindy at the time of this dream and I loved her very much, but then she died December of 2001, she was almost 6 yrs. old too.

[glow=red,2,300]There is this one dream that i had a long time ago but i have always remembered it. I don't know why. I was in some building but i don't know where. The only thing that was in the building was a big glass case with a huge snake in it. We were looking at the snake (don't know who was with me) and then i had to go to the bathroom. I had to go up the stairs to go to the bathroom and i had to go past the snake. I started walking up the stairs and the snake attacked me. Then i woke up. That is the last dream i remember and that was probably like 5-7 years ago or even longer [/glow]

I had a dream about my mother a few months after she died. I dreamt that we were at a restaurant with dad except she could walk normally (she had been wheel chair bound for about 4 years prior to her death with only limited walking w/ walker assistance only just prior to that) and the restaurant we were in wasn't really a restaurant (even though it looked like one inside on the outside it was an old elementary school that was next door to my gramma's house), well in my dream I could hear mom speak, but I couldn't she her mouth move (it was as if I heard her thoughts but I could HEAR her speak) it was very weird, well anyway we went out and sat down on the back steps of the building and we were talking though I can't recall exactly what I was saying to her, I knew in my dream that she was actually dead and this was such a surprise to me to have her there beside me... I could actually FEEL the warmth of her hands touching my hands and when I went to hug her, I could actually FEEL her cheek against mine and the warmth of her cheek, I was telling her how much I missed her and I didn't know what I could do without her and that I tried to do eveything she wanted me to do like she did for her mother, When she took my face in her hands (I could FEEL her hands) and she told me that I did everything she wanted that I could possibly do for her and she was so glad I was with her at the end holding her hand (even though I didn't see her mouth move I could see in her big brown eyes the love that I always saw when she was alive and I KNEW it was my mom talking to me) I started to cry and she wiped away my tears and told me to "keep the faith" as she always did when things looked bad and I believed her ....... I woke up crying after that dream, but I also had the strongest sense that my mom was there with me at that very moment.... I can't explain it and have had a couple of dreams of mom since, but nothing as intense as this one.

Wow, that's sad Kat. I had a dream about my Mom after she died too, but I don't really remember it much. It was kind of the same with being in a restaurant, but this restaurant was like an old Victorian Southern Mansion with the white pillars in front. My Mom was sitting there when we came in (I was with my ex-boyfriend then - John) She always liked to embarrass me in front of people so she said some things to him that were embarrassing to me. At the end of the visit with her, I was mad at her for embarrassing me in front of John. I left in a huff. I had another dream about her after that one, but that one is really foggy. We were in an old wooden cabin-like church. And she was actually nice to me. So, we went out and sat on the stoop in front of the Church and talked about stuff. That time we left each other I wasn't mad at her, I was glad to see her and able to talk to her without getting mad.
I've had more dreams about my Dad since he's been gone. I don't really remember what they were about, but I always felt safe and protected when I dreamt of my Dad.
I'm going to try to interpret the first dream I shared with you about shooting that guy. I'm just going to list the dream symbol and then put the dream dictionary definition next to it.
Gun - warns of mental or emotional dysfunctions; erroneous attitudes or perceptions.
Dingy (Guy) - indicates a condition, situation, or relationship that is negatively affected in some manner: a need to clean up.
Blond hair - refers to a "sunny" disposition: an optimist.
Shooting - anger; fear or defense against meeting feelings or insights; aggressive sexuality; exploring feelings about death.
Killing - repressing or stopping some aspect of oneself-as when we kill love for someone.
Blood - One's energy and sense of existence; universal life or power, therefore connection with humanity; pain or struggle; injury; death.
This all fits because my ex was abusive and I was starting to hate him then. I really wanted to kill him, but didn't want to go to prison for it, so I didn't.

Yeah, me too. I have a really wonderful honey now though.
I'm going to go tomorrow with a police officer to a shooting range and practice shooting with my Dad's .38. He said that he'd even provide some ammo for me too. His name is Officer Kurtzhalf. Very German, like Bischoff. He sounds very nice. I guess since I've been talking about it, and Roger's been gone, I just wanted to be sure I'm safe again. It's been about 18 years since I've shot a weapon, so I'm kinda nervous because I told the officer that I know about guns. Actually I do, but I'm just afraid I'll forget a step on cleaning it, or safely handling it. Oh, I'll be fine. I'm such a nut, huh?
